Richard Hammond the presenter from Top Gear and Brainiac has been injured in a carcrash whilst filming for Top Gear. Apparently he was attempting to break a land speed record in a jet powered car, reaching speeds of 280mph. According to Sky News the car was buried in the ground by the force of the impact.He was airlifted to LGI where he is undergoing surgery on head injuries,. He is said to be critical .
Mike is a huge fan of his, and he and his family live about 25 miles from us.

Been watching this on the various news outlets closely, sounds like he's suffered something bad with the brain, but he's walking and talking and recognising people, but I guess time will tell to see what's what with him.
