My favourite pub !!

As I mentioned we have been out tonight. Went to a rather lovely pub at Avebury called the Red Lion. Its very popular with the bikers particuarly on a wednesday when they have a Bikers meet and BBQ !! Had a gorgeous meal, cottage pie topped with sprinkled stilton cheese , yyyuuuummmmmmmyyyyyyy !! Gary has Chicken caeser salad. as always lol ! Its not the cheapest of pubs but its not extortionate either, and the food is well worth it ! Served roasting hot and most odd in the world of pub food by a smiling bar person ! Now that is worth paying for hehe !

Its really relaxing to sit there of an evening , in the summer we sit outside and watch the tourists around the stones, and in the winter there are roaring log fires to defrost by !

The Red Lion is also reported as being one of the most haunted locations in Wiltshire. personally not seen any ghosts there but tempted to go on a ghost watch one day ! That could be fun !
